2019 marks the 10th anniversary of Samsung’s Galaxy S series and the Korean giants have launched the S10 range – consisting of the S10, S10+, S10e and the S10 5G - to celebrate. It’s fair to say they’ve pulled out all the stops.

The standard Samsung Galaxy S10 features an Infinity-O display, which replaces the now-standard notch design with a tiny punch-hole for the camera in the top right corner. The result is a screen that practically stretches across the whole display. Even more impressively, it features an embedded Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner.

It also features an ultra-wide triple-lens camera, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and PowerShare, which allows you to charge other devices wirelessly (including the brand new Galaxy Buds).

If you’re willing to spend a bit more, the Galaxy S10+ offers all of the above with an additional 8MP front camera and a huge 6.4” display. And if you’re really willing to splash out, there’s an ‘Ultimate Performance Edition’ packing 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage!

The more price conscious among us may prefer the Galaxy 10e; it’s the ‘budget’ model, which means it lacks certain features like the triple-lens camera and in-screen fingerprint scanner, but it retains many of the S10’s best bits like the Infinity-O display and Wireless PowerShare. Plus, it comes in a series of vibrant colours. Not bad for £669!

Samsung also revealed the Galaxy S10 5G, one of the first mainstream 5G mobile phones. It won’t be available until the launch of UK 5G networks (set for 2020) but it promises to be one of the most advanced handsets on the market – and not just because of its connectivity capability. On top of the standard S10 features, it has a massive 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen and four rear cameras (one of which is designed for AR applications).
